Starting from February 2018, this program combines online lessons (around 50 hours), with readings, videos and self-assessment tests, plus a 3-day intensive on-site course to learn through case studies, network and visit orchards and factories. The course is presented as a full package, however it is possible to undertake only the online part. To attend the on-site course, participants need to do the online course first.
The contents of the online course have been designed and created by top experts of the world’s most prestigious institutions and companies. The program consists of 10 units covering the main aspects involved in the management of the nut and dried fruit sector, ranging from soil and climate, varieties and uses, nutrition facts, food safety and quality standards, production, consumption trends… Visit the website and check out the entire program.
As regards the on-site course, it will last three days and the location will change every year. The first on-site course will take place in May 2018, in Sevilla, Spain, just before the INC World Congress. The on-site course will allow students to network, visit orchards and factories and learn through case studies that will be developed by Prof. Dr. Kandarp Mehta and Prof. Dr. Miguel Mediavilla, from prestigious IESE Business School, ranked among the world's 5 best MBA by The Economist, among other accolades.
The INC Academia's Executive Program on Nuts and Dried Fruits allows students to learn at their own pace the basics of the nut and dried fruit industry. It also provides them with networking opportunities. The INC will provide a certificate of completion to those who complete and pass the online course (score of 60% or more after one single attempt) and a certificate of attendance to those who participate in the on-site course.
