The guideline[1] has been prepared by the Standards of Care Committee (SOCC) of the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI), and brings together the latest research and evidence based advice, including better understanding of risk assessment in order to reduce accidental reactions and manage allergy reactions more effectively.
 
The chapter “Prevention of nut allergy” refers to the study published in 2015 “Randomized trial of peanut consumption in infants at risk for peanut allergy” (Du Toit G. et al), according to which the early introduction of peanuts significantly decreased the frequency of the development of peanut allergy among children at high risk for this allergy and modulated immune responses to peanuts[2].
