In the Newsletter No. 189, INC announced that China notified of the National Food Safety Standard that establishes maximum residue limits for 99 pesticides in foods.The United States Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service has issued a GAIN Report containing an unofficial translation of this draft measure.Regarding nuts and dried fruits, the following MRLs have been proposed:

  • Flumioxazin: peanut kernel at 0.02 ppm.
  • Zineb: peanut kernel at 0.1 ppm.
  • Fludioxonil: peanut kernel at 0.05 ppm.
  • Chloropicrin: peanut kernel 0.05 ppm.
  • Malathion: peanut kernel 0.05 ppm.
  • Bentazon: peanut kernel at 0.05 ppm.
