The European Commission is evaluating the EU legislation on plant protection products (Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009) and pesticides residues (Regulation (EC) No 396/2005).As a starting point, the EC has published a roadmap that summarizes the purpose, content, subject, scope and process of the evaluation.The general objective of the evaluation is to perform an evidence-based assessment of the implementation of the legislation on plant protection products and pesticides residues. The evaluation could be useful to improve the implementation on the EU rules on pesticides and might trigger legislative proposals in this policy area.The evaluation is expected to be completed in November 2018.Evaluation and fitness check roadmap
