WHO-FAO: Report on Meeting to Determine Food Allergen Labeling Exemptions

The Ad hoc Joint Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)/World Health Organization (WHO) Expert Consultation on Risk Assessment of Food Allergens has published part four of its Risk Assessment of Food Allergens report, which addresses the question of whether certain foods and ingredients derived from the list of foods known to cause hypersensitivity can be exempted from mandatory allergen labeling.

 

Thailand: Food Labeling Rules Updated

Notifications issued by Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health update the rules on nutrition labels, food products required to bear nutrition labeling and guideline daily amounts and health claims made on food labeling. These notifications will be effective from July 2, 2024.
