INC attended the Open Discussion Round of the European Federation of the Trade in Dried Fruit & Edible Nuts, Processed Fruit & Vegetables, Processed Fishery products, Spices, Honey (FRUCOM) on 24 November 2016, in Hamburg, Germany.The meeting was attended by representatives of the Aegean Exporters Associations, Agro West LLC (Azerbaijan), Almond Board of California (USA), American Pistachio Growers (USA), Besana Group (Italy), Blacksea Exporters Associations (Turkey), CG Hacking & Sons (UK), Frutos Secos Fuster SL (Portugal), Hazelnut Processors and Exporters Association of Georgia, Hottlet Frozen Foods (Belgium), Huepeden (Germany), Ireco Trading & Production SA (Luxemburg), Istanbul Exporters’ Associations (Turkey), National Dried Fruit Trade Association (UK), NZV (Netherlands), PALM Nuts & More Nuss Und Trockenfruch GmbH & Co. KG (Germany), Schlüter & Maack Handelsges mbH (Germany), Spanish Almond Board, Syndicat National des Fruits Secs (France), U.S. Mission to the EU, Waren-Verein der Hamburger Börse e.V. (Germany), Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds (USA) and the INC.After the welcome speech by FRUCOM President Mr. Thomas Haas-Rickertsen, Ms. Anna Boulova, Secretary General, presented the activities of the Federation since the last meeting. Ms. Boulova highlighted the activities of the new working group Dried Fruit and Nuts and the working group Fisheries, Canned fruit & Vegetables, the communication with FRUCOM members, current issues and cooperation, as well as the Brexit. This update was followed by a discussion among the members.
