Aiming at exploring new regions within the South-East Asian food market, INC made its debut in Sial-Interfood Jakarta (9 – 12 November 2016). INC’s participation was featured by an 18 sq m booth located at B1 F 030. Main efforts were addressed to promote the XXXVI World Nut and Dried Fruit Congress in Chennai.Besides promoting the INC Congress, attending Sial-Interfood Jakarta served INC to expand its brand into the South-East Asian food market. Great efforts were put in presenting the membership benefits to those potential new members. Brochures and corporate materials were distributed among visitors, serving as a visual support so as to illustrate INC’s main projects such as the statistics database, the Nutfruit magazine and the Pavilion.INC’s booth at SIAL-Interfood Jakarta was featured by its corporate colors white and green. All nuts and dried fruits varieties represented by the Council were exposed by product samples and graphics. Apart from the information delivered at the welcome desk, dozens of informal meetings were celebrated in that specific area.Mr. Marc Centelles, INC Marketing and Sales Manager, participated in the Retail Trading Outlook in Indonesia, a forum supported by SIAL-Interfood. Mr. Centelles delivered a presentation about the role of INC within the nuts and dried fruits industry.
SIAL-Interfood Jakarta’s Innovation
Indonesian and ASEAN food and beverage industry emerges vigorously in the global economy due to its growth potential and appealing economic perspectives. Indonesia is the 16th largest economy in the world, although it is expected to reach the 7th position by year 2030. Furthermore, Indonesia represents the 4th largest country in the world with 45 million members of the consuming class. When it comes to food demand, this figure is expected to reach 135 million members in 2030. Just as a reflection of this economic capacity, SIAL-Interfood Jakarta attracted over 50,000 visitors and 1,100 exhibitors.
