EU Member States will discuss the following drafts in the next Standing Committee that will be held on September 26-27, 2019.

The European Commission notified the World Trade Organization of the Draft Commission Regulation amending Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for certain pesticides in or on certain products.

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has published the Reasoned Opinion on the Review of the existing maximum residue levels for emamectin according to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005.

On September 1, 2019, China imposed additional tariffs on certain US origin products. 

On August 28, China announced a second round of an exclusion process for additional tariffs imposed on specific US origin products.

Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency has proposed new maximum residue limits (PMRL) for cyclaniliprole.

The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency has notified the World Trade Organization of some draft resolutions regarding the active ingredients G05 – glufosinate and G01 – glyphosate of the Monograph List of Active Ingredients for Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, published by Resolution RE n° 165 of 29 August 2003, on the Brazilian Official Gazette (DOU Diário Oficial da União) of 2 September 2003.
