EU: MRLs Update, Draft Commission Regulations

The European Commission notified the World Trade Organization of the Draft Commission Regulation amending Annexes II, III and V to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for certain pesticides in or on certain products.

The European Commission notified the World Trade Organization of the Draft Commission Regulation amending Annexes II and V to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for iprodione in or on certain products.

EU: MRLs Update

The European Commission published the Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/960 of 5 July 2018 amending Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for lambda-cyhalothrin in or on certain products.
 

EU-Japan: Trade Agreement

On July 17, 2018, EU and Japan signed a trade agreement which will remove nearly 85% of tariffs of EU agri-food products.

China: Additional Tariffs

According to a USDA GAIN Report, on July 6, 2018, China enacted additional tariffs on selected U.S. products as previously announced.

Canada: MRLs Update

Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency has announced the following proposed maximum residue limit (PMRL) for flubendiamide, trifloxystrobin and quinclorac.

USA: Pesticide Petitions

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency received several initial filings of pesticide petitions requesting the establishment or modification of regulations for residues of pesticide chemicals in or on various commodities.

Saudi Arabia: Dates

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia notified the World Trade Organization of the Gulf draft Technical Regulation for "Loose Dates".

30th International Horticultural Congress

The INC is sponsoring the 30th International Horticultural Congress, which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on August 12 – 16, 2018. The motto of the IHC2018 is “Bridging the World through Horticulture” and it will focus on research, innovation and training.
