India: Additional Tariffs Delayed

India has extended by 30 days for the sixth time in a row the imposition of higher customs duties on 29 products imported from the US, including almonds and walnuts.

At the last Standing Committee of the Section ‘Novel Food and Toxicological Safety’ held on February 8, 2019, Members States discussed some contaminants.
 

Canada: MRLs Update

Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency has announced the adoption of the MRL for tetrachlorvinphos and the revocation of diazinon, dicofol, dinocap, nicotine, phosalone and vinclozolin on corresponding commodities identified. In addition, the MRL for amisulbrom has been also adopted (see previous post).
