Brazil: MRLs Update

The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency has notified the World Trade Organization of draft resolutions regarding the active ingredients F68 – Fluxapyroxad and P46 – Pyraclostrobin of the Monograph List of Active Ingredients for Pesticides, Household Cleaning Products and Wood Preservers, published by Resolution RE n° 165 of 29 August 2003, on the Brazilian Official Gazette (DOU Diário Oficial da União) of 2 September 2003.

Brazil: Nutrition Labeling

The Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency notified the World Trade Organization of the draft Resolution Number 707, 13 September 2019, regarding the nutrition labeling for packaged foods.

Argentina: Hazelnut Tree Imports from Chile

The National Service of Agri-Food Health and Quality of Argentina (SENASA) notified the World Trade Organization of the phytosanitary requirements for the importation of hazelnut trees (Corylus avellana) from Chile.

EU: Transportation and Border Control

The Commission is asking for feedback on the draft Regulation about supplementing Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards rules for official controls of consignments of animals and goods in transit, transhipment and onward transportation, amending Regulations (EC) No 798/2008, (EC) No 1251/2008, (EC) No 119/2009, (EU) No 206/2010, (EU) No 605/2010, (EU) No 142/2011, (EU) No 28/2012, (EU) 2016/759 and Decision 2007/777/EC, and repealing Decisions 2000/208/EC, 2000/571/EC and 2011/215/EU.

EU: MRLs Update, Draft Commission Regulations

The European Commission notified the World Trade Organization of the Draft Commission Regulation amending Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 of the European Parliament and of the Council as regards maximum residue levels for certain pesticides in or on certain products.

EFSA: Emamectin, MRLs Review

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has published the Reasoned Opinion on the Review of the existing maximum residue levels for emamectin according to Article 12 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005.
