Globally, it seems that the number of new infections has slightly decreased, especially in the United States. However, several countries are facing spikes of COVID-19 cases, such as India, Italy and Spain.

On August 13, the INC attended the European Networking Group (ENG) Global Food Safety webinar ‘The impact of COVID-19 on quality in the global F&B industry’, which brought together about 40 representatives of Food and Beverage companies and organizations.

COVID-19 mitigation and social distancing measures are still in place in most countries.

On July 2, 2020, the INC participated in a webinar on Mycotoxins in dried fruits, tree nuts and peanuts organized by the European Federation of the Trade in Dried Fruit & Edible Nuts, Processed Fruit & Vegetables, Processed Fishery products, Spices, Honey (FRUCOM).
