The European Commission published the Council Regulation (EU) 2016/2389 of 19 December 2016 amending Regulation (EU) No 1388/2013 opening and providing for the management of autonomous tariff quotas of the Union for certain agricultural and industrial products. In addition, Council Regulation (EU) 2016/2390 of 19 December 2016 amending Regulation (EU) No 1387/2013 suspends the autonomous Common Customs Tariff duties on certain agricultural and industrial products.The aims of the autonomous tariff quotas are to guarantee sufficient and uninterrupted supply of certain goods insufficiently produced in the European Union and to avoid any disturbances on the market for certain agricultural and industrial products.The Annex to Regulation (EU) No 1388/2013 is replaced by the text set out in the Annexes to the Regulation 2016/2389 and 2016/2390.Both regulations entered into force on 1 January 2016.Council Regulation (EU) 2016/2389 of 19 December 2016Council Regulation (EU) 2016/2390 of 19 December 2016
