The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of the Republic of Korea has notified the World Trade Organization of the Proposed Amendments to the Standards and Specifications for Foods.The proposed amendments seek to establish the general testing method for the pesticides picarbutrazox, benzovindiflupyr, methoxyfenozide and sulfoxaflor; establish and revise the maximum residue limits for 74 pesticides in agricultural products; revise the maximum residue limit for dithiocarbamates in ginseng; and establish and revise the maximum residue limits for the pesticides methoxyfenozide and sulfoxaflor in livestock products.The deadline for comments is February 13, 2017.For further information, please contact us at inc@nutfruit.org.
