The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of the Republic of Korea has notified the World Trade Organization of the Proposed Amendments to the Standards and Specifications for Foods.The proposed amendment seeks to expand the list of raw materials permitted to be used in foods; establish and revise the maximum residue limits for the pesticides Cyclaniliprole and Pyflubumide; establish and revise the maximum residue limits for certain veterinary drugs (Cyproheptadine, Iodohydroxy quinoline sulfonic acid and Flumethasone) in foods and establish definitions for certain terminologies.The deadline for comments is December 18, 2016.For further information, please contact us at inc@nutfruit.org.
