On February 11, 2019, the UK and Switzerland signed a trade continuity agreement aimed at safeguarding exporters from the impacts of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.
This agreement simplifies trade and allows businesses to continue trading freely, without any additional tariffs. It continues the elimination of duties on the vast majority of goods traded between the UK and Switzerland. In signing this Agreement, both countries ensure certainty for businesses, consumers and investors when the UK ceases to be bound by EU deals.
