The German Federation of Food Law and Food Science introduced a “Toolbox for Preventing the Transfer of Undesired Mineral Oil Hydrocarbons into Food.”
This toolbox offers a summary of background information and practical support in decision-making. It provides an overview on the currently known and potential routes of entry of mineral oil hydrocarbons with the aim of reducing preventable contamination as much as possible and identifying approaches to reduce the amount of mineral oil contaminants in food.
