This autumn, INC leadership took part in two international industry events: the 14th VINACAS Golden Cashew Rendezvous in Hanoi and Portugal Nuts in Lisbon. The INC’s participation reflected its continued engagement in sector-wide discussions on industry trends to facilitate the sustainable growth of the industry.
Ashok Krishen, INC Chairman, Honored with VINACAS Heritage Award at 14th Golden Cashew Rendezvous
This past October, the vibrant city of Hanoi played host to the 14th edition of the VINACAS Golden Cashew Rendezvous.
Organized by the Vietnam Cashew Association (VINACAS), the event offered a dynamic three-day program covering cashew production, business strategies, and topics such as quality control, food safety, and hygiene. A gala dinner was also held to celebrate VINACAS’s 35th anniversary.
Among the attendees was INC Chairman, Ashok Krishen, who delivered a keynote address during the opening ceremony. In his presentation, Mr. Krishen outlined the INC’s mission and strategic vision, while offering a compelling statistical overview of the global tree nut industry—with a particular emphasis on the cashew industry.
During the event, Mr. Krishen was presented with the prestigious VINACAS Heritage Award 2025. The award recognizes his exceptional leadership and contributions to the advancement of the global cashew industry, as well as his commitment to sustainable development across the value chain. The ceremony was attended by VINACAS’s Board of Standing Executive Members and a host of international guests, where Mr. Krishen shared a video message, offering reflections and forward-looking insights for both Vietnamese and global cashew sector.
Goretti Guasch, INC Executive Director, Presents Global Industry Data & Insights at Portugal Nuts
At the Portugal Nuts event this November, Goretti Guasch, INC Executive Director, delivered a compelling presentation via video address giving an overview of the INC as well as global tree nut trends, supply dynamics, and industry insights offering a comprehensive snapshot of the sector’s evolution over the past decade.
Mrs. Guasch emphasized the INC’s mission to drive sustainable growth and promote the health benefits of nuts and dried fruits. She outlined key strategic priorities, including increasing global consumption, securing a health claim for nuts, and advancing sustainability across the supply chain.
The presentation then followed on to explore the shifting landscape of global trade sharing global supply and demand trends and showcasing how production and trade have evolved over the past decade as well as sharing key trends that are happening globally.
Mrs. Guasch concluded by inviting attendees to the 2026 INC Congress in Macao, promising another opportunity for global networking and industry collaboration.
