Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) has published a Proposal to Amend Schedule 20 of the revised Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code (10 January 2017). The Proposal aims to align certain maximum residue limits (MRL) for various agricultural and veterinary chemicals, so that they are consistent with other national regulations relating to the safe and effective use of agricultural and veterinary chemicals.Among others, the proposal adds the MRL for boscalid in peanut at 0.1 ppm and peanut oil (edible) at 0.7 ppm.The deadline for public comments was February 7, 2017.More information
