The INC Attends the CELCAA Conference

INC attended the conference “Beyond trade for all: Time to promote the benefits of agri-food trade” organized by the European Liaison Committee for the Agricultural and Agri-Food Trade (CELCAA), on March 21, 2019, in Brussels, Belgium. The conference brought together speakers from the European Commission and different European associations with the aim of providing different trade views and recommendations of the EU agri-food traders’ community to the EU decision-makers.

FRUCOM Open Discussion and Working Group Meeting

INC attended the Open Discussion Round and the Meeting of the Working Group Dried Fruits & Nuts of the European Federation of the Trade in Dried Fruit & Edible Nuts, Processed Fruit & Vegetables, Processed Fishery products, Spices, Honey (FRUCOM) on March 22, 2019, in Brussels, Belgium.

EU: Food Contact Materials

The European Commission launched an Online Public Consultation on the evaluation of the Food Contact Materials (FCM) legislation to assess whether the objectives and tools of the FCM legislation are still relevant and coherent.

INC Executive Committee Meeting

The INC Executive Committee met in Dubai, UAE, on February 21, 2019, to review the Foundation’s financial status at the end of 2018 and the 2019’s Budget. The Committee discussed ongoing projects, such as the Megatrends Project and the INC Contract for the sale and purchase of nuts and dried fruits, and reviewed the grant requests for the Open-Access publication of scientific studies.
