During the Standing Committee held on June 11, 2018, EU Member States endorsed a draft Commission Recommendation on the monitoring of acrylamide in certain foodstuffs.
As there are insufficient data available on the presence of acrylamide in certain foods within and outside the scope of the Regulation (EU) 2017/2158, the draft Recommendation recommends that competent authorities and food business operators monitor the presence of acrylamide in foods.
