On April 30, 2019, the European Commission published the Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/677 of 29 April 2019 concerning the non-renewal of the approval of the active substance chlorothalonil, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the placing of plant protection products on the market, and amending Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 540/2011.
Member States shall withdraw authorizations for plant protection products containing chlorothalonil as active substances by November 20, 2019, at the latest. However, any grace period granted by Member States shall expire by May 20, 2020, at the latest.
This Regulation shall enter into force on May 20, 2019.
