According to the European Federation of the Trade in Dried Fruit & Edible Nuts, Processed Fruit & Vegetables, Processed Fishery Products, Spices and Honey (FRUCOM), European Union Member States will vote on the draft Regulation setting a maximum level for hydrocyanic acid in apricot kernels and derived products on February 8, 2017.As previously announced, the maximum level for hydrocyanic acid (including hydrocyanic acid bound in cyanogenic glycosides) in unprocessed whole, ground, milled, cracked, chopped apricot kernels and derived products thereof placed on the market for the final consumer will be set at 20 mg/kg.For further information, please contact us at inc@nutfruit.org.
