EU-Thailand: Free Trade Agreement

The European Union (EU) and Thailand agreed to resume negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA), seven years after talks collapsed in 2014. If the two sides complete a deal, it would be the EU’s third FTA with an ASEAN member state, following agreements with Singapore and Vietnam.

The UK and New Zealand are close to reaching an agreement in principle on a free trade deal. The trade agreement could see the removal of tariffs on British and New Zealand goods.
