The Law establishes the legal and organizational principles for providing consumers with information on food products in order to ensure a high level of protection of public health and meet their social and economic interests. In addition, it also sets the general principles and requirements on food information, in particular regarding food labeling, and the obligations of market operators to inform other market operators and consumers.
The Law was adopted on December 6, 2018. However, the date of publication is yet to be determined.
