The Codex Alimentarius Committee on Fats and Oils (CCFO) will consider including Walnut Oil, Almond Oil, Hazelnut Oil and Pistachio Oil in the Standard for Named Vegetable Oils (CODEX STAN 210) in its next meeting (27 February – 3 March 2017).The objective of this proposal is to set quality and purity as well as food safety criteria for the edible walnut oil, almond oil, hazelnut oil and pistachio oil to facilitate the conditions for their commercialization.Discussion Paper on the Inclusion of Provisions for Walnut Oil, Almond Oil, Hazelnut Oil, Pistachio Oil, Flaxseed Oil and Avocado Oil in the Standard for Named Vegetable Oils.
