The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has received several initial filings of pesticide petitions requesting the establishment or modification of regulations for residues of pesticide chemicals in or on various commodities.As regards nuts and dried fruits, the agency received the following petitions:
- New tolerances: the insecticide pyrifluquinazon in Tree nuts (crop group 14-12) at 0.01 ppm; the herbicide pyroxasulfone in peanut at 0.20 ppm; and the sulfur dioxide in fig at 25 ppm.
