The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will eliminate nearly all customs duties on goods traded between the two parties in a progressive way. The agreement also contains specific provisions to remove technical obstacles to trade.
 
The FTA was signed on June 30, 2019. The EU approved it on March 30, 2020 (see previous post), and its entry into force is expected by August 2020.
