The proposed Regulation would amend Commission Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. This amendment would authorize two new substances, extend the authorized use of a previously authorized substance, and decrease the specific migration limits for a previously authorized substance on the basis of new evidence.
Plastic materials and articles complying with Regulation 10/2011 as applicable before the entry into force of this Regulation, may be placed on the market until 12 months after the date of entry into force of the new Regulation and may remain on the market until exhaustion of stocks.
The final date for comments is April 23, 2018. The proposed date of adoption is May 31, 2018.
