The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of the Republic of Korea notified the World Trade Organization of the Proposed Amendments to the Standards and Specifications for Foods.
 
The proposed amendment seeks to establish and revise the "General Test Methods", establish the maximum residue limit for a newly registered pesticide (Fenoxasulfone) in foods, and expand the range of target agricultural products for 32 pesticides, as well as harmonize the use of standards for food additives with the "Standards and Specifications for Food Additives", among others.
 
The deadline for comments is July 29, 2017.
