The proposed changes in the Bill are intended to help manage biosecurity risks through enhanced information gathering powers; improved ability to amend biosecurity import conditions in response to risks, including those from overseas; minor, technical changes to improve administration of the Act.
Consultation on the draft will close on January 30, 2018.
