The Department of Agriculture and Water Resources of Australia is reviewing the Imported Food Control Regulations to ensure that the Regulations are still relevant and required. The department has opened a period of public consultation to help them assess whether the proposals need to be amended to better meet the needs while still achieving the objective of the Imported Food Control Act 1992.The deadline for comments is February 24, 2017. It is expected that the Regulations will be published in Mid-December 2017 and will enter into force before October 2018.More information
