Chinese Walnut Crop

At the 2017 China International Tree Nuts Conference (Guangzhou, August 2-4), representatives from the walnut growing regions of Yunnan, Xinjiang, Shanxi, Hebei, Gansu, Henan and Shaanxi reported the crop marginally below last year’s figure of 900,000 metric tons. As reported by the China Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Foodstuffs, the subjective crop estimate was set at 880,000 MT (in-shell basis).
