The European Commission published the Regulation (EU) 2017/170 of 30 January 2017 as regards maximum residue levels for certain pesticides.This Regulation amends Annexes II, III and V to Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 as regards maximum residue levels for bifenthrin, carbetamide, cinidon-ethyl, fenpropimorph and triflusulfuron in or on certain products.As for nuts and dried fruits, the Regulation sets the following new MRLs:

  • Bifenthrin: tree nuts at 0.05 ppm; stone fruit, grapes, cranberries, dates and figs at 0.01* ppm; and peanuts at 0.02* ppm.
  • Carbetamide: tree nuts and peanuts at 0.02* ppm and stone fruit, grapes, cranberries, dates and figs at 0.01* ppm.
  • Cinidon-ethyl: peanuts at 0.05* ppm.
  • Fenpropimorph: tree nuts, stone fruit, grapes, dates, figs and peanuts at 0.01* ppm and cranberries at 0.9 ppm.
  • Triflusulfuron: stone fruit, grapes, cranberries, dates and figs at 0.01* ppm.
