According to the European Federation of the Trade in Dried Fruit & Edible Nuts, Processed Fruit & Vegetables, Processed Fishery products, Spices, Honey (FRUCOM), the European Commission has proposed to further restrict the use of three neonicotinoids (Clothianidin, Imidacloprid and Thiamethoxam) due to a negative impact on bee colonies.The draft Regulations set that seeds treated with plant protection products containing clothianidin, imidacloprid and thiamethoxam may not be place on the market or used unless they are used inside permanent greenhouses.For further information, please contact us at inc@nutfruit.org.
