The European Commission has opened a public consultation on a draft implementing decision that would create a work program that groups and aligns the renewal procedures for seven low-risk active substances (Isaria fumosorosea strain Apopka 97, COS-OGA, cerevisane, Pepino mosaic virus strain CH2 isolate 1906, ferric phosphate, Saccharomyces cerevisae strain LAS02 and Trichoderma atroviride strain SC1) with the renewal procedures of other similar low-risk active substances. The decision is intended to reduce duplication of work and enable rapporteur Member States and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to deploy their resources more effectively to other procedures for renewing the approval of other active substances that should be given higher priority. The deadline to comment is October 16, 2026.
