Strengthening our global ties in China
From April 15-19, 2025, the INC participated at the 18th Food Exhibition for China Nuts and Dried Fruits in Hefei, China. The event was hosted by the Specialized Committee for Nuts and Dried Fruits of the China National Food Industry Association, represented by Mr. Zhang Liaoyuan, Ms. Christina Chen, and Ms. Weng Yangyang. The INC was a sponsor of the event and was represented in person by Mr. Michael Waring, INC Chairman, and Mr. Ashok Krishen, INC 1st Vice Chairman.
The event opened with a conference on April 16 that brought together around 300 industry professionals for a full day of sessions. Mr. Krishen attended the Symposium on Raw Materials Analysis and Trend Forecasting on Nuts and Dried Fruits (Seeds), where he delivered an opening speech and presented a global overview of nut and dried fruit production and demand, with a particular focus on the Chinese market. The conference closed with the 2025 Industry Annual Party and Welcome Reception, where Mr. Waring delivered opening remarks.
The conference was followed by a three-day exhibition, which brought together 2,000 exhibitors to showcase the latest innovations in product development and machine technology and was expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors. On the evening of April 17, Mr. Waring and Mr. Krishen attended the Entrepreneurship Salon for Business Elites from China and Abroad, where they mingled with high-profile entrepreneurs from all over the world.
