Spain: Almond Producers Reach Collaboration Agreement with Nougat Regulatory Council
According to Agroinformación, the Regulatory Council of the Protected Geographical Indications Jijona and Turrón de Alicante has signed a collaboration agreement with Spanish almond producers that envisages the promotion of Spanish almonds, the preferential use of Spanish almonds in nougat, clearer labeling regarding the origin of the almonds used, and support for the creation of a protected geographical indication for Spanish almond.
