EU-Australia: FTA Negotiations, Round Thirteen
The thirteenth round of the Australia-EU FTA negotiations took place in Brussels on October 17-21, 2022. The EU negotiating team was led by the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission while the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade led the Australian delegation. Both Australia and the EU have prepared summary reports of the meeting and are now accessible in their websites.
USA: Trade Mission to Spain and Portugal
Happening from November 29 through December 2, 2022, more than 30 agribusinesses and farm organizations will visit Madrid, Spain, for a trade mission sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Members of the delegation will engage directly with potential buyers from Spain and Portugal, receive in-depth market briefs from USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) and industry trade experts, and participate in site visits.
According to the USDA, Spain is the third-largest EU destination for agricultural products from the USA, with Portugal ranking 11th.
Vietnam-West Africa: Workshop to Boost Cooperation in the Cashew Industry
According to Vietnam+, on November 2, 2022, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Arise Integrated Industrial Platforms (ARISE IIP) organized a workshop in Ho Chi Minh City on potential for investment cooperation in the cashew industry between Vietnam and West Africa.
