USA: Pistachios Grown in California, Arizona, and New Mexico
The Agricultural Marketing Service (USDA) will be conducting a referendum among eligible pistachio producers to determine whether they favor continuance of the marketing order regulating the handling of pistachios grown in California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
The referendum will be conducted from October 31 through November 18, 2022. To vote in this referendum, producers must have produced pistachios within the designated production area during the period September 1, 2021, through August 31, 2022.
USA: Grade Standards for Pecans in the Shell and Shelled Pecans
The Agricultural Marketing Service, Department of Agriculture (USDA), is extending the comment period for the proposed rule published in the Federal Register on June 1, 2022.
The proposed rule invited comments on proposed revisions to U.S. Standards for Grades of Pecans in the Shell and U.S. Standards for Grades of Shelled Pecans.
Deadline for comments is September 7, 2022.
