Morocco: Food Labeling

The Office National de Sécurité Sanitaire des Produits Alimentaires of Morocco notified the World Trade Organization of the Draft Decree relating to the food products labeling rules.The aim of the Decree is to amend the current labeling regulation. Articles 2, 4, 11 and 24 of the Decree No2-12-389 are modified in respect of the shelf life of the products, as defined by the European Regulation 1169/2011 on the labeling of foodstuff. It will apply both to product produced in Morocco and to imported products.The deadline for comments is May 2, 2017.
