UNECE Working Group on Food Loss and Waste Prevention

The INC has been participating in an electronic working group, convened by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), tasked with developing a Code of Good Practice for Food Loss and Waste Prevention in Dry and Dried Produce. Over the past few months, the group has held several online meetings to finalize the second chapter of the document, which focuses on handlers, processors, manufacturers, and traders. The group’s next meeting will take place on February 26, 2026. A full draft of the Code will be submitted to the UNECE Specialized Section on Standardization of Dry and Dried Produce for discussion at its meeting in May 2026.
